About Us

What kind of Church is this?  In short:

We are Christians who have joined together to “worship the Father in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23)

We are families of all sizes and ages enjoying fellowship as part of the Family of God.

We are students of the Bible, God”s holy word.

We don”t try to be “loud”, “comtemporary”, or “cutting edge”.  We do try to be timeless, Bible-based and friendly.

We are Maize Congregational Church

While our official name is First Congregational Church, we have called ourselves Maize Congregational Church for quite a while now. The Congregational Church has roots that go all the way back to the Separatists that settled Massachusetts in the 1600s, the original Mayflower Pilgrims. These were people who longed to be free of the man-ordained traditions of the Church of England and follow after the Word of God as directed by the Holy Spirit.

The Maize Congregational Church continues in that direction. We are an independent congregation of believers seeking to model the First Century Church pattern. It is our desire to make the Bible our plan of action and Christian love our theme.
We invite anyone who is looking for Christian worship and fellowship to join us on Sunday mornings at 9:15 for Sunday School, 10:30 for Worship Services.
