Every year MCC sends a team South to Juarez, Mexico to build a house for a family there. The money to fund the travel, building supplies and food comes almost entirely from a single fund-raiser we hold each year, and that is the Fireworks tent (or as some members affectionately call it, the “firecracker stand”). Help support the mission trip by buying your fireworks from the Black Cat Tent at Maize road and 37th Street across from Menards by Goodwill. We are a Tax Exempt stand and also give a 10% discount to Active Military, Fire Fighters, and Police. Thank you so much. Hope to see you there.
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command. May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ. (2 Thessalonians 2:16 – 3:5 ESV)
Gal 6:9-10 ESV – “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
Rom 16:17 ESV – “I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.”
